Welcome MARSALA -Pantone Colour of the Year 2015

Somehow I am still somewhere in October however there are some signs bringing me back to reality.

Today PANTONE introduced the Colour of the Year 2015.

The impactful, full-bodied qualities of Marsala make for an elegant, grounded statement color when used on its own or as a strong accent to many other colors.

Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness.

Add elegance to any room by incorporating this rich and welcoming hue in accent pieces, accessories and paint. Marsala’s plush characteristics are enhanced when the color is applied to textured surfaces, making it an ideal choice for rugs and upholstered living room furniture.

I am looking forward to all creations in this colour! It combine so nicely with blue marine, black, red… chocolate and red wine…

Enjoyed the blog post; not so much the new 2015 colour choice. Glad you stopped by which allowed me to “find” you.

  2. I like that color a lot. It’s almost a neutral, so it wouldn’t be too difficult to mix into a wardrobe.

  3. ThreadTime says:

I think this is my favorite of the last three years of Pantone colors.
