The EMTC – European Master Tailor Congress is the most important German-speaking Congress for the tailoring trade.

It will take place in Basel, Switzerland from Thursday 29 May till Sunday, 1 June 2014. (check the blog here)

The European Master Tailor Congress (EMTC) began 10 years ago as Four Countries Meeting for German-speaking countries in Europe. That is the countries of Austria, Germany, Switzerland, South Tirol, a part of Italy. After attending as host in 2004, the Netherlands joined this group. The Five Countries Meeting was soon converted into EMTC. In 2008, the above-mentioned conference was organized in Maastricht (NL) by the BvK  Branchevereniging van Kleermakers & Modevakscholen – (Dutch Association of Tailor and Fashion Design Schools) (now BMA).

The Branchevereniging Mode Ambachten – BMA (Fashion Crafts Industry Association) is invited to take part in the 2014 congress. Among other activities – there will be again an International Fashion Show organized in which each of the five member countries can present itself.

The Branchevereniging Mode Ambachten – BMA (Fashion Crafts Industry Association)  would like to show both women’s and men’s clothing. Thanks to fusion with the associations FeetBag the presented models  can be enriched with bags and shoes. It is as well possible to have bags and shoes present separately.

You may see the short overview from the previous congress here.

It is very tempting and challenging and I really would like to take a chance. I have already have some ideas …

I have time to 25th of April to decide.
