My not-wearable pants muslin

Well…. it all looked fine until I have finished the pants and put them on. Disaster!

I promise to show them so here it is…

TotalDisaster

I decided to put them aside and start to work on something different. It is frustrating –  I will wait for better times…

At this moment I have made the muslin for a man’s jacket for my DH. He is not so patient so it will be difficult to fit it. It will be a long project.

In between – to feel better – I will start on the Marfy dress – first muslin. I have to check the size.

The summer is in the end coming (according to a weather man/woman) so it would be nice to have few new summer outfits.

Happy sewing!

  1. Oh go the Marfy dress – lovely lovely distraction from the pants. I haven’t got whiskers on mine but rather too much fabric in the front crotch so need to do some mucking about with upper inseams I think. I have left them all folded up on the sewing table while I make (slowly) a wee blouse.

Gosh but yours are so very close. I agree they’re going to be great when you wanna get back to them.

    • It is lovely and I love the easy way of sewing it. My pants I folded as well and waiting for better time.
Go on with your blouse! It is geat to see progress and wonderful result at the end 🙂

Oh darn, yes you can see that ‘whiskering’ on your pants. But, really they don’t look bad, at all. Probably just some taking in near the hip area?

  3. Pants are just hard. Go to something more enjoyable and the Marfy dress does look like a fun diversion.

    • I will come back to this this pants later on… Yes, now I feel like making something different – and yes – Marfy dress is very tempting 🙂

Ty masz fajna figure to latwo ci spodnie dopasowac – wszystko lezy swietnie na tobie … dzieki spodniom odkrylam rozne, dziwne strony swojej figury 🙂 Ach! Wracam do sukienek – uwielbiam sukienki… 🙂
Jesli chodzi o slonce, hmm… troche poswiecilo wczoraj w Holandii – z zimnym wiatrem, a dzic znow za chmurami… jutro kolejna proba 🙂
      Pozdrowienia!

No własnie ja mam taką pokreconą figurę że nic nie mogę na siebie kupić. Wykroje, dosłownie wszystkie muszę mocno modyfikować żeby na mnie pasowało. Wszystko muszę przerabiać, szerokości i długości! 😦

    • A moze to nie towja (i moja) figura jest pokrecona tylko to co w sklepie? My po prostu jestesmy normalne 🙂
I dzieki temu, ze same szyjemy – mamy normale krecje, ktore nam pazuje (a nie, ze to my musimy sie do ubran dostosowac).
Wykroje tez sa przygotowywane na jakies wyimaginowane wymiary – lepiej samemu wykroje robic 🙂
A ty w tych dopasowanych do twojej figury ubiroach wygladasz szalowo! 🙂

I totally understand you need a pants break!

P.S. I nominated you for a Liebster Award

    • 🙂 I need to make soemethig different. Too many wonderful summer fabrics are waiting – and I heard the summer will come in the end to NL 🙂
Thanks a lot for a Liebster Award 🙂

The pants are almost there! I know you will be able to make a lovely pair with a few more tweaks. Your jacket project is great-have you picked out fabric yet?

    • Thanks! I need such support 🙂 It helps. I have a feeling I am close to have good fitted pants – I have to have a little more patience.
For the jacket I have bought – long ago – eco mix linen with bamboo canvas – dark red… it supposed to be a summer jacket. I will make lining from cotton batiste – or keep it unlined… not decide yet 🙂
